Marina Beach Volleyball Club was founded in 1992 by A.J. Martin Sudhakar, with the blessings of late Dr. B. Sivanthi Adityan then president of Volleyball Federation of India and Executive Vice President of FIVB and with the support and cooperation of Dr. K. Murugan, the then Secretary General VFI.
The club has organized and conducted more than ten National and eight International events, which brought laurels and glory to the country through various Asian Events. In the year 2014, the club was instigated to organize many sporting events on the Beach, as the result, with the support of the Indian Coast Guard, Chennai the club has conducted many sporting events like Beach Kabaddi, Beach Hockey, Beach Handball, Beach Soccer and Beach Volleyball.
Due to the above success, the club was rebranded and renamed as Marina Beach Sports Club with a vision to support and promote Beach Sporting Events. The Club aims to provide a platform for the aspiring youngsters to learn, train and compete in various beach Sports. The passion for the sport created by Marina Beach Sports Club leads to numerous opportunities for young athletes to exhibit their skills & talents and compete at National and International levels.
The Marina Beach Sports Club continues to carry forward the legacy of beach sports with a strong focus on promoting unity, friendship, peace and harmony among the Beach sporting fraternity of the country.
Our vision is to develop beach sports, in all coastal areas of India. We strive to improve the caliber of players and assist them in taking part in international level sports events.
We believe in promoting unity, friendship, and understanding among our members and facilitating well-wishers to become members. We aim to bring about a friendly feeling of unanimity among the members, irrespective of caste, creed, or color on all subjects.
Our society functions as a non-political club, working towards the welfare, development, and progress of beach sports athletes of India without any distinctions of caste, creed, race, religion, color or language.
Our goal is to create a peaceful relationship between our neighboring districts, states, and other foreign countries by conducting district, state, national, and international level competitions.
Our core aim is to navigate each and all individual sportsmen and sportswomen to produce laurels for the country and achieve success in international competitions. We aim to achieve a medal in the Olympics by following the above-mentioned activities of our society.
Our vision includes promoting health and fitness-related nutrition knowledge in rural areas, creating awareness, training, equipping, and developing the youth of India with knowledge and skill set required to face the real world without fear.
